The 24th Peruvian Congress of Plastic Surgery was, for us, much more than an event. These were days of real conversations with physicians, clinic directors, and industry professionals who came to see the Revitalair 430 hyperbaric chamber live, understand how it works, and explore what hyperbaric therapy can bring to their clinical practice.

 

Lima welcomed us with genuine interest, concrete questions, and the openness of a medical community that is paying closer and closer attention to hyperbaric medicine.

One of the greatest assets of participating in a congress of this scale is being able to show the equipment in person. Hyperbaric therapy raises many questions before a physician sees it in action: what is the patient experience like? How much space does it require? How easy is it to operate?

 

Our stand was the space where those questions found direct answers. Physicians from different specialties —plastic surgery, rehabilitation, wound care— came to see the Revitalair 430 up close, understand its installation requirements, and explore how it could integrate into their practices.

 

Those are the conversations that generate the most value: unmediated, with the equipment present, and with the ability to answer every clinical, technical, or commercial question in real time.

 

Dr. Fabrizio Verdini’s Workshop: Fundamentals and Applications of Hyperbaric Therapy

 

As part of the congress, and in partnership with Life Diagnostics, we organized a workshop where Dr. Fabrizio Verdini —Biobarica’s medical liaison— presented the scientific foundations of hyperbaric medicine and its clinical applications as a complement to conventional treatments.

 

The workshop brought together professionals from plastic surgery, rehabilitation, and wound care at Sala Mediterráneo AB, Hotel Los Delfines.

 

Dr. Verdini walked through the physiological mechanisms that explain how hyperbaric therapy acts on the body —systemic hyperoxia, angiogenesis, stimulation of collagen synthesis, reduction of the inflammatory response— and translated them into concrete application cases in postoperative care, chronic wounds, and rehabilitation.

 

For many attendees, it was their first formal encounter with the scientific evidence behind this therapy. For those already familiar with it, it was an opportunity to go deeper into protocols and indication criteria that allow them to integrate it more precisely into their daily practice.

 

Conversations That Go Beyond the Stand

 

The 24th Peruvian Congress of Plastic Surgery brought together leading specialists from across the country. For us, being present at events like this is not just about visibility: it is an opportunity to understand firsthand what questions physicians are asking, what barriers they perceive, and what clinical and practical arguments move them.

 

Peru has an active medical community, with high interest in technology and growing demand for non-invasive complementary therapies.
